DYE VL is an advanced form of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) energy.
Using DYE VL vascular lesions and redness such as Rosacea can be significantly reduced by heating up and destroying the haemoglobin in the tissue, resulting in a reduction of veins and redness making this an ideal treatment for people who suffer from a red flush or veins on the face or cheeks.
The DYE VL handpiece uses advanced fluorescent technology (AFT) which utilises the energy that would otherwise go unused and converts this to energy that can be distributed evenly, meaning that even low treatment settings can be very effective at treating and managing a variety of conditions, while minimizing the risk of adverse effects that can usually be associated with other forms of energy such as normal IPL.
Once the target chromophore has been determined (Haemoglobin for veins and redness) it will be treated using the DYE VL handpiece which selectively targets the chromophore while keeping surrounding tissue intact. The target is destroyed and is broken down by the body and gradually filtered out over time. We recommend starting off with a course of 3-6, spaced 3-4 weeks apart. After the initial course we recommend top ups at 1 treatment every 3-4 months.
